Our goal is to reduce individual suffering and healthcare costs by preventing injuries sustained through falls.
To achieve this aim, we have developed our SafeStrive Technology – using an innovative polymer layer with connecting pins that absorb kinetic energy by twisting into an S-shape, reducing dynamic impact in a unique way.
SafeStrive technology can be used in protective environments and protective gear – potential implementations include as helmets, caps, headbands, vests, wrist bands, and flooring – among others.
Our mission is simple: we protect people from becoming patients.
Our SafeStrive Floor utilises SafeStrive technology in order to reduce impact force. Simulations tests has shown that the floor reduces impact force with up to 80% compared to conventional floors. In a world where fall injuries are a significant cost to society and healthcare and the the 5th most common cause of death among the elderly, Safestrive Floor seeks to benefits the general public as well as health care professionals, pushing for improvements in health and economy.
SafeStrive Technology can also be implemented in gear worn by people, such as safety helmets, headbands, caps, gloves, wrist bands etc… The protective gear widens the focus to include youths and sports practitioners, with applications ranging from horseback riding and snowboarding to down hill bicycling. The benefits of the protective gear are similar to those defined for the Safestrive Floor, reducing impact in order greatly to improve individual suffering and healthcare economy.
SafeStrive Technology is verified by research including computer simulation and laboratory investigations by a well-known and trusted source, the interdisciplinary collaboration between the Department of Neurosurgery at Karolinska University Hospital and Division of Neuronic Engineering at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. Experience from neurosurgery and neuronic engineering regarding prevention solutions of injuries, have led to a patent application in 2011 including helmets, caps, headbands, vest, wrist bands and flooring.
